Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Harry is at his aunt’s home again in his holidays where Dobby, a house-elf, visits him and warns him not to go back to Hogwarts. Harry pays no attention to these warnings and goes back anyway. In Hogwarts, the Chamber of Secrets, a secret chamber belonging to Salazar Slytherin (one of the founders of the school), is opened by the “Heir of Slytherin” and the “terrors within are unleashed”. Soon, some unknown creature begins to attack the students, turning them into statues.
Harry finds that he is a parseltongue (ability to speak to snakes) and everybody begins to suspect him as the Heir of Slytherin, as Slytherin was an established parseltongue himself.
Ron’s sister, Ginny, is taken into the Chamber of Secrets so Harry and Ron go into the chamber to save Ginny. In the chamber, Harry is confronted with the memory of Tom Marvolo Riddle or in other words with a memory of Lord Voldemort in his teenage, who had emerged out of Tom Riddle's diary. Ginny had been writing in that diary and Tom Riddle's memory kept gaining strength from Ginny's feelings. Now, it had almost come back to life. Harry defeats him and his snake (basilisk) and is able to successfully save Ginny.
